To be honest, after 9 years of developing my somatic approach and working with hundreds and thousands of people, what I hear the most is:

“Galina, I just want to eat when I am hungry, stop when I am full and not think about food all the time. I want to be able to feel my emotions, and not eat my feelings. I want to be able to meet with my friends for dinners, celebrate holidays with my family and still eat to nourish myself. I want food to just be food. I don’t want it to consume my life.”

There isn’t a single off switch for emotional eating.

You’ve already tried the dieting, the journaling, the intermittent fasting, maybe even coaching, food delivery and medically supervised restrictive plans. If all of these didn’t work, it’s not a sign of you failing – it’s a sign to look somewhere else – to look deeper at the root cause.

The good news is that your body is both a physician and a magician – and under the right conditions – it has the ability to become your greatest ally in listening to its needs, responding with care, and being able to just live your life without over-planning, over-thinking and constant second-guessing your choices.

It is actually good news that there are no shortcuts to resolving years of food suffering. You already have experienced what it’s like to try to solve a complex issue with trying to chase the symptoms – this simply doesn’t work.

You cannot change a symptom from the same biological state that keeps creating it.

The truth is that symptoms are intelligent, your body is intelligent and your struggle requires an intelligent approach.

The map I’ve created is rooted not only in decades of professional study as a somatic practitioner, but also in the hard-won wisdom of my own healing from disordered eating – and in the deep, compassionate work I’ve done with countless others on their path to lasting peace with food.

Can I watch this workshop right away?

This workshop is live and happens once a month. When you register on the course platform (Teachable) you will immediately gain access to several practices from my book that you can begin to learn before the workshop, but we’ll meet on a specific date each month.

Is this one of those workshops that tries to sell you a program?

No. This workshop is a stand alone piece of education which actually teaches you how emotional eating and the nervous system are connected. I am happy to tell you more about my other offerings after the workshop.

Can I benefit from this as a professional?

Yes. I have done my best to make the content accessible to people of all levels of understanding of the material, yet professionals have found it incredibly helpful to their work.
