Welcome, dear Peace with Food graduate!

The Practice Nest is our signature live membership program for graduates of the Peace with Food Transformation Groups, and I am so happy to welcome you here.


This space is for you if:

1. You’ve just spent 7 months learning, practicing, and re-wiring your nervous system toward deeper capacity, safety, and connection — and you want to continue your learning with Galina and in community, including access to 1-1 support.

2. You graduated a while back and want a place for somatic practice, movement, deep listening, and growth. We all need guidance on the path to peace with food, and we’ve curated that guidance for you — all you have to do is show up.

Graduates often tell me how they wish they could stay connected, continue learning, and have a supportive home base to live what they’ve learned. That’s how the Collective was born back in 2020 — a space to call your somatic learning home online, where graduates around the world continue their journey together.

Today, the Practice Nest is the newest iteration of that offering, and we hope it becomes a home for your learning and growth.

Through teaching, collective calls, creative expression, and presencing sessions, you will continue to deepen connection to yourself and others, while having a space to process what life brings your way.

You will sit with me, my team, and fellow students who have completed the Transformation Group experience — belonging to a group of mindful, bodyful and dedicated humans whose longing for peace with food has evolved into a deeper peace with self.


If you are just starting…

Each Transformation Group graduate is gifted a one-month free trial of the Practice Nest.

I recommend taking your trial within three months of graduation.

The Practice Nest 2026 Structure

A Year to Expand your Capacity

Each year, we choose a theme. This year, we will explore the skills that expand nervous system capacity — so we can meet life with more resilience and navigate inner and outer waves with greater ease and self-trust.

Our schedule is arranged so participants in both Europe and North America can attend comfortably.

January: Sundays starting at 8 am PT / 11 am ET
February onward: Sundays starting at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET


Session 1: THE STUDY LAB — 90 minutes

The first session of each month focuses on teaching a concept and embodying the learning through mindfulness, attunement, presence, writing, discussion, and somatic practice — similar to your 7-month Transformation Group.

In 2026, we will take each part of the original curriculum and teach an advanced layer of that session. This deepens your skills through more practice, more time, and more space for curiosity, enjoyment, and exploration — the antidotes to negativity bias and trauma imprints.


Session 2: THE BODY LAB — 60 minutes

Somatic Movement Fundamentals help dissolve movement habits and postures that hold survival stress. Each month we create more space and capacity through:

  • Self-massage
  • Balancing
  • Developmental relational movements
  • Shivering and shaking
  • Spinal movements
  • Oscillatory movements (like yawning)
  • Play and vocalization

These components form the basis of a flexible, responsive nervous system.

For those who prefer shorter sessions:
A 5-minute somatic movement snack will be uploaded monthly in our Circle online community. You’re welcome to practice it daily.


Session 3: PRESENCING — 120 minutes

Presencing is a deliberate transparent communication practice taught to me by Thomas Hubl. Together we create a slower, mindful container where deep experiences can be expressed and witnessed through words, gestures, and movement.

After a guided group experience, we work in small pods of two or three to practice:

  • Speaking
  • Listening
  • Attuning
  • Holding space
  • Reflecting

You will be taught the process step-by-step. This practice builds embodied secure attachment — one of the greatest gifts of the somatic journey.

Session 4: THE COMMUNITY CAMPFIRE — 90 minutes

In each session, the community is invited to share insights, experiences, and awarenesses that contribute to both individual and collective growth.

We weave together:

  • Music
  • Dance
  • Poetry
  • Art
  • Writing
  • Crafting
  • Authentic movement

This allows mind-body-spirit unity to come alive through you — and through the collective field.

These sessions are led by Tanja Mateljan and co-led by Galina.

Additional support:
Tanja will also facilitate weekly “glimmer and shimmer” prompts in Circle to keep us connected and creatively warm.

I had done a lot of work before joining, but there were so many terms you used or concepts that impacted how I felt that I didn’t know at all. What surprised me was how much I appreciated finally understanding the why behind what I was feeling. You explained the science behind what we were doing in a way that was completely fascinating, but also kind of nerdy and intriguing – not just neuroscience, but how it matters in my life. FAQ

Do I have to come to all the sessions offered in the Nest?

It helps to think of how we grow capacity: through exploration, interest, curiosity and excitement. Pressure and should’s don’t grow capacity, they grow internal walls. We have a bug buffet of nourishing offerings, and after a couple of months in the Nest you will know what helps you most – to be here in person each week (this is what works for me with my studies), to come live to some sessions, and do others recorded, or to do one session live a month and have a rich archive you can go to when you have space,

What I see shifts the needle on capacity is regular, predictable and stable schedules – and you can create those as live sessions, a combination of live and recorded sessions or coming up with your own rhythm that works best for you.

Can I pause my membership if I need to?

In our agreement, you are signing up for 6 months or a year. The pause clause allows you to pause your membership for up to 3 months. This means if you have a 6 month membership and choose to pause it for a month, it will restart when that month is over.
